Johari's Journey

There was a period of my life when I couldn’t communicate my thoughts or feelings for fear that what I wanted would displease my friends and family.  I was always agreeable and went along with scenarios or situations that I wasn’t happy with. I was secretly miserable for fear of not being liked or being difficult.  I consistently thought I was a simple person whose wants, and needs were basic, and that I was easy to figure out. It turns out I was very wrong. I am complicated, confusing, and frustrating even to myself.

Needless to say, my fear of communication came to an end, when my life took a dramatic turn, after a lengthy custody and divorce battle. I had to become consistently focused on the survival of myself and my children.  I began to realize that for me to succeed I needed a different attitude.

It occurred to me I needed to focus on my fear of communication. I decided to create mantras for myself to meditate to strengthen my resolve and strengthen my mind for the challenges I faced daily for survival.
